Global E&P Summit 2010

We would like to thank all the attendees of the Global E&P Summit 2009, which recently took place in Barcelona. This year’s Summit brought together leading E&P players from across the world, to explore and overcome the current challenges facing the industry, and they also enjoyed productive networking sessions and best practice sharing onsite.

Highlights from the 2009 Summit included:

Ingrid Sølvberg, Vice President Platform Technology and Marine Surveys at StatoilHydro, who shared the StatoilHydro vision for Arctic E&P and gave us an update of Arctic operations and challenges to date.

Nadège Hopman, Manager of CO2 Stoage Operations at Schlumberger, who explored the business case for CCS implementation in E&P operations, and gave us insight into the latest technological advancements in CCS.

Luiz Souza, Production Engineering & Development Assets Area Manager at Petrobras, who analysed the challenges faced by Petrobras in their subsea operations in the Gulf of Mexico.

Atef Onaisi, Head of Geomechanics Services at Total, who updated us on the challenges of integrating 4D seismic, geomechanics and reservoir simulations in Total’s Elgin and Franklin fields.
